Why do widgets show Black background in Light Mode

If the Dumb Phone widgets display a black background when Light Mode is turned on, and/or the Home Screen Customize is set to Default / Light, it's likely the App Launcher's background has been explicitly set to Black.

Change the Background and Text Color to a lighter color

1. Open Dumb Phone → Launcher Style
2. Under the Background section, select the Light Gray color

   • You can also alternatively select Auto Dark / Light Gray

     

3. Under the Text section, select the White color

   • You can also alternatively select Auto Black / White
