How can I show different apps when Focus is turned on?

You can link Dumb Phone with Focus modes by leveraging an iOS feature named Focus Filters.

This lets you automatically display a specific App Launcher and apps for a particular Focus mode, such as Do Not Disturb, Work, etc.

How do I set up a Focus Filter?

  1. Open iOS Settings → Focus

  2. Select a Focus to edit it

  3. Tap "Add Filter"

  4. Select Dumb Phone ("dp") from the list

  5. Tap a particular App Launcher to select it, then tap Add to continue

In this example, when you turn on the Work Focus, the apps within the "Work" App Launcher will be displayed on the Home Screen.

What if I don't want to use Focus Filters?

You can alternatively manually link App Launchers to Dumb Phone widgets, so they always display a specific launcher.

How to manually link App Launchers to Dumb Phone widgets

  1. On the Home Screen, long-press the Dumb Phone widget → Edit Widget
  2. Deselect "Show Selected Launcher"
  3. Tap "Launcher" to link a particular launcher

That widget will now always display that particular configuration, regardless of which launcher is selected in Dumb Phone.
