How do I set a custom background / wallpaper color?

It's possible to set a custom background color for your App Launcher and match it up with the same wallpaper color.

Choose a color first

  1. Open Dumb Phone → Launcher Style screen

  2. Under the Background section, select the Color Picker

  3. Choose a color

  4. On the Sliders tab, copy the Hex Color value. Make sure "sRGB Hex Color #" is selected, not "Display P3 Hex Color #".

Set the matching wallpaper color

  1. Open iOS Settings → Wallpaper → Add New Wallpaper
  2. Choose Color along the top row
  3. Tap the Color Picker button on the displayed sheet
  4. Paste in the copied Hex Color

Once saved, Dumb Phone's widget and the Home Screen wallpaper will match in color.


Keep in mind the Dock background will be a slightly different shade as it takes on a color similar to the contents beneath it.
