Step 5: How do I create a minimalist Home Screen?

Instructions

1. Move all visible apps out of the Dock and current Home Screen page
2. Long-press the Home Screen to enter Jiggle Mode™ → Edit → Edit Pages
   • (or select the bottom row of dots in iOS 16)
3. Uncheck all other Home Screens to hide them
4. Add Dumb Phone's companion widget

   1. In iOS 26: Add the Date & Time widget

      

   2. In iOS 18: Add the Spacer widget

      

   3. In iOS 17 and earlier: Add the Spacer widget to center the Page widget

5. Position the companion widget above the Page widget on the Home Screen

   

6. Move Dumb Phone to the dock for easy access to more apps

   

   1. Change the app icon in Dumb Phone → Settings → App Icon → Tap Dark
      • or via Launcher Style → App Icon
